Course Entry/Admission Requirements for Bachelor of Business Information Technology (BBIT) at The Co-operative University of Kenya

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) (or equivalent examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ (C plus) and grade “C” in Mathematics and English

or

  • A holder of a relevant Diploma/ Professional course  from any institution recognized by the University Senate
  • CUK Diploma holders who attained credit and above progressing to undergraduate courses will be granted a fee waiver at a rate of 20% on tuition fees for 1st semester, 1st year
  • Diploma holders with similar qualifications from other institutions will be granted fees waiver at a rate of 5% of the tuition fees for the 1st semester, 1st year.

Duration of Study

8 Semesters plus 12 weeks of industrial attachment for KCSE Certificate holders.
Applicants with other qualifications may benefit from exemptions in recognition of prior learning as per approved CUE/KNQA

  3. Ensure you have scanned identification documents, either a National Identification Card, Passport or birth certificate.

Kindly note that for all applicants with foreign certificates, you require equation/validation from Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) which can be obtained from the portal https://rev.knqa.go.ke or forward your academic certificates to KNQA for validation and equation through the email for KNQA: rev@knqa.go.ke and ke@gmail.com

  1. Make payment either directly to the bank or via M-PESA through bank deposit at any Co-operative Bank of Kenya Account No. 01129062663600 (Karen Branch, Nairobi) or through M-Pesa Paybill no. 400222A/C no. 723#ID Number.”
  2. Duly filled forms should be scanned and emailed to admissions@cuk.ac.ke with proof of payment of a non-refundable application fee of
  • sh. 500 for Diploma/Certificates programmes;
  • sh. 1,500 for Degree programmes
  • sh. 2,000 for Master’s Degree Programs and
  • sh. 3,000 for PhD Programmes
