Course Entry/Admission Requirements for Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) at UMMA University

(i)  Mean grade of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) C+ or equivalent with at least C in Mathematics and English.

(ii) A-Level certificate with 2 principal passes and a credit pass in Mathematics at ‘O’ Level

(iii) Degree from a recognized university.

(iv) Mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE and C (plain) in Mathematics and English plus a Diploma in Business Management and/or a diploma relevant to disciplines in business from an institution recognized by Umma University senate.

(v) Mean grade of C- (C Minus) at KCSE plus a certificate and a diploma in Business management and/or a certificate and diploma relevant to disciplines in business Management from an institution recognized by Umma University Senate.

Mean grade C+ at KCSE, with a C plain in Maths and English or Kiswahili, OR 2 Principal passes and 1 subsidiary at A-level plus at least a credit in Math, OR a Diploma in a Business-related field, OR CPA/CPS II, OR HND in Business related disciplines from a recognised institution. CPA/CPS III, Diploma and HND attract credit transfer

Formal application for admission is made on an Application form.

  • The forms can be downloaded from our website www.umma.ac.ke.
  • Download the application form;
  • Fill-out the hard copy accordingly:
     
    • Attach copies of Academic Certificates/Transcripts and
    • A non-refundable, non-creditable application fee of
    • Kshs 1,000.00 for degree and masters and
    • Ksh 500 for Diploma and Certificate respectively.
  • Drop dully-filled application to admission’s office on weekdays or scan the documents and send via email to: admissions@umma.ac.ke.


Alternatively, mail by post to the

Admissions Office – Umma University Kajiado main Campus Kajiado. The application fee can be paid by banker's cheque or deposit in the following Umma University bank accounts:

  • Application form for Short-Term Courses Our academic year commences in the first week of September (Full time programmes). Applications should be submitted to the Admissions Office before the 31st August.


Deans Committee sits every month to process applications. The decision of the Admissions Committee is final.

  • For regular programs, we have: January, May and September Intakes.
  • For the evening programmes, we have: January, May and September Intakes.
  • For ODeL programs, we have January, May and September intakes.

Applications for admission should be received at least a month before commencement of the programme.
