Course Entry/Admission Requirements for Bachelor of Public Management at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology

To be qualified for admission into this program, the prospective candidate must have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Be a holder of KCSE (or equivalent examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C in both Kiswahili and English
  • At least Credit pass in any relevant Diploma from JKUAT/KNEC or any other Senate recognized institution with a minimum aggregate of D+ KCSE
  • Candidates who are Certified Public Accountants (CPA)/Certified Public Secretaries (CPS)/Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)/Certified Credit Professionals (CCP)/Certified Information Communication Technologists (CICT) finalist will be exempted from year 1

MODE OF APPLICATION FOR UNDERGRADUATE COURSES
 

  1. Upon verification of meeting the course admission requirements, application will be done online though https://admission.jkuat.ac.ke

Application fees are will be payable through MPESA following the procedure below:

1. Access the M-PESA menu from your phone, select "Lipa Na M-PESA" then Pay bill option, enter this Pay Bill Number (951200).
2. Enter your account number generated from the JKUAT Admission Management System( https://admission.jkuat.ac.ke/) STEP 5 (payments details after login) then enter the required amount.

  • Certificate Courses: - KShs 500 (Kenya shillings Five Hundred Only)
  • Diploma Courses: - KShs. 1,000 (Kenya shillings One Thousand Only)
  • Bachelors Courses: - KShs. 1, 500 (Kenya shillings One Thousand Five Hundred Only)

3. Finally enter the exact MPESA generated code back into the system to complete your application.

An original receipt will be given by a Cashier at JKUAT Finance office upon payment of the application fee or upon presenting a bank slip with the respective amount of application fee.

The duly completed forms and relevant attachments should be returned to the respective schools offering the programmes.

ALL applicants will be required to present certified copies of the relevant Certificates, Result Slips, National Identity Card, Birth Certificates for verification when reporting.
