To be qualified for admission into this program, the prospective candidate must have the following minimum qualifications:

Direct Entry (fresh from High School)

• KCSE Mean Grade of C+ (Plus). In addition, C+ in the cluster subjects listed below: Biology Chemistry Mathematics /Physics English/Swahili

OR

• Have a Minimum 2 Principal passes in Science subjects in International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)/General Certificate of Education (GCE).

OR

• Have any other qualifications accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to above

Upgrading Option (Already have a Diploma)

• Diploma/Higher National Diploma in Clinical Medicine from an institution recognized by the JKUAT Senate.

OR

• Have any other qualifications accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to above

Comprehensive Opthalmology & Cartaract Surgery

Applicants must

a) Have a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from an institution recognized by the University Senate, OR

b) Have a Higher National Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery ( ophthalmic and cataract surgery ) from an institution recognized by the University Senate, OR

c) Have any other qualifications accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to above. OR BSc. In Clinical Medicine.
