Course Entry/Admission Requirements for BSc in Health Records and Information Management at Chuka University

  • Minimum KCSE C+ plus at least a C+ in: English or Kisw, Biol/Biological Sciences, Math, OR
  • A Diploma with a Credit grade in Health Records and Information Technology from a recognized institution with at least 2 years relevant post qualification experience. In addition the candidate should have obtained a C (plain) at KCSE, OR Division III at EACE with credit grades in the cluster subjects listed in (A) above.
  • Credit waiver will be considered for students taking the same programme in a recognized institution, subject to approval by the Department.

(b) Applicants must indicate preferred Campus, Mode and Commencement of study to be used if the quorum for the preference does not fill up to recommend alternative offers.
(c) Return forms to P. O. Box 109 – 60400 Chuka. Attention should be: Director, Graduate School for postgraduate programmes, and Registrar (Academic) for Bachelor’s, Diploma and Certificate courses. Certified copies of certificates and original fee payment receipt MUST be attached to the application form and returned latest two weeks prior to the commencement dates given for the programmes.
(d) One Academic Year is equivalent to 2 semesters for full-time or 3 blocks for Holiday-Based mode.
(e) Diploma holders may take a shorter period to complete a Bachelor’s degree after credit transfer.
(f) Preferred Campus should be indicated on the application form.
