Course Entry/Admission Requirements for BSc in Horticulture at Taita Taveta University

Candidates wishing to study for the Bachelor’s degree must satisfy the minimum University requirements for admission.

EITHER

  1. Be a holder of KCSE (or equivalent examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English. OR
  2. Be a holder of Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and subsidiary pass and a minimum of credit pass in Mathematics at Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) OR
  3. Be a holder of a diploma in a relevant discipline from an institution recognised by the University Senate. OR
  4. Be a holder of any other qualification accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to any of the above.

2. Submit The Form after Attaching all the Required Documents

  • Before submission, attach form 4 result slip or certificate, two passport size photographs, copy of National Identity Card or Birth Certificate ,your email address and that of your parent or guardian, your postal address and that of your parent or guardian together with your telephone number and that of your parent or guardian, banking slip or receipt of the application form.

3. Review the Application Documents by the Deans Committee

  • The Deans Committee Reviews the application of the prospective applicants and reach a decision.

4. Communication of the decision of the Deans Committee to the Prospective Student

  • A letter is issued to the student indicating whether he/she was successful or not

The Common Application is required for students applying to any of the courses offered at TTU. You’ll be able to choose your campus and programs that you are interested.

  • banking slip or receipt of the application form fee ( Nonrefundable Ksh. 1,000/= for degree applicants, Ksh 1,500/= for postgraduate applicant’s and Ksh 500/=for Diploma and Certificate applicants).
