Course Entry/Admission Requirements for BSc in Nursing at Kibabii University

  • The candidates shall have obtained a mean grade of at least C+ at Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and passed the clusters as indicated below:

    • Alternative A:
      • Biology C+
      • Chemistry C+
      • Mathematics or Physics C+
      • English/Kiswahili C+
    • Alternative B
      • Biological Sciences C+
      • Physical Sciences C+
      • Mathematics C+
      • English/Kiswahili C+

OR

  • 2 Principal passes in Biology and Chemistry and a subsidiary pass either in physics or Mathematics in A Level Examination or its equivalent.

  • A candidate may be audited or allowed to transfer credits from part or whole of coursework requirements only, provided the Senate is satisfied that the candidate had done and passed at the undergraduate level to the prescribed course(s) from accredited institutions and programmes recognized by the Senate. The maximum number of units allowed for transfer shall be 40% of the total prescribed units. For any course to be considered for credit transfer it should have been taken at an equivalent level and obtained a minimum of 50% mark. The credit transfer will not be allowed on clinical placements. No credit transfers will be considered beyond second year of study.
