A candidate must satisfy one of the following admission requirements.

1. Be holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Economic Finance or Economics Statistics; with at least Upper Second class honor from any university recognized by DeKUT academic Board and approved by the senate.
2. Be holder of Bachelor Degree with lower second class honor in any of the areas (as in part a above);  from  DeKUT  or  any  other  university  recognized  by  the  academic  Board  and approved by the  Senate  provided the  candidate has  relevant  research or  relevant  work experience of more than two(2) years.
3. Be a   holder   of an equivalent qualification   from other   institutions   recognized by the Academic Board as compared academic qualifications from Dedan Kimathi University of Technology and approved by Senate.

Undergraduate Application

1. Two copies of this form should be completed and returned to the Registrar Academic Affairs & Research, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, Private Bag, Dedan Kimathi-10143, Nyeri.
2. Attach two colored passport size photographs to the application forms.
3. This form should be typed or completed in BLOCK LETTERS.
4. Application fee charges are as follows:
   • KShs 500.00 for Diploma/ Certificate/ Professional Courses
   • KShs 1,000.00 for Degree Courses.
5. The applicant should deposit the application fee in one of the banks listed below and remember to get from the bank the pay-in slip and attach to the application form before submitting to the University:

4. Application fee for Masters Programmes: KShs 1,500. 00
5. Application fee for Post Graduate Diploma Programmmes: KShs. 1,500.00
6. Application fee for Doctorate Programmes: KShs. 3,000.00
