Course Entry/Admission Requirements for MSc in Fisheries Sciences at Kenyatta University

To be qualified for admission in the Masters Degree program, the prospective candidate must have the following minimum qualifications:

  • The general regulations of masters degree in the School of Pure and Applied Sciences shall apply.

a. A holder of a Bachelor of Science degree with at least an upper 2nd class honours with Zoology or Botany as a single subject or as one of the two (2) science subjects.

b. A holder of a Bachelor of Education degree who has studied Zoology or Botany to degree level and has attained an upper 2nd class honour degree. Those in Second Class (Lower Division) may be considered on condition that they have C and above in units relevant to their areas of specialization.

  • Application forms can be obtained from Kenyatta University, Admissions Block, Office No. 12 or at the Regional Centers based in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Embu, Kisumu, and Garissa or be downloaded from our website www.ku.ac.ke
  • East African applicants shall pay non-refundable processing fee of Kshs. 3,000/= for through bank deposit only into any of the following bank accounts:
